The Sculpture that has led to countless alchemical reactions within those who have sat with the piece. REBIRTH is a portal providing energy work on a large-scale, allowing the viewers to transmute blockages. The body keeps the score. A dive into shadow work, holding space for truth, releasing trauma, allowing transmutation, full integration and illumination.
I ask that you look into the void, make peace with it. To hold hands with your shadow. The adult figure showing dis-ease, a common part of existence, rebirthing itself from a blockage, an eruption of built up energy consolidated in their stomach, a release, transmutation, and integration that leads to new life-baby's breath- blossoming from it. Unlimited potential.
If the viewer can continue to sit with the piece, to look themselves in the mirror, to move beyond the discomfort, new birth and gratitude may be found. Peace. Play.
Behind the Artist: REBIRTH was at one moment Adrienne Tabet’s life work. In a world too repressed to allow for healing, truth, and integration, a pain began in her stomach, a large emotional blockage, a build up of collective energy that became too large to contain in her body. She then channeled the image that is now REBIRTH, simultaneously her partner at the time channeled the description that would then go in the museum for its debut. In sculpting the piece, Tabet spent two years of hyper fixation, hyper focus, and dedication, day by day carving, layering, alchemizing the piece. There are over 10 materials present in the work, each material and method its own ingredient of energetic transmission. Sculpting each layer as she moved through different emotions and internal phases within herself.
