REBIRTH depicts an androgynous adult figure in a posture of both peace and dis-ease, rebirthing itself from an erupted stomach/ womb-space.
REBIRTH is a portal- a talisman of energy work.
I ask that you look into the void, make peace with it- Hold hands with your shadow.
Within the Process of Creation: REBIRTH took Adrienne two years to carve- layer by layer. There are processes that are quicker- but they would have yielded different results. This was an alchemical process- a process Adrienne had to embody within and without.
As always, the piece began as a channeled vision and Adrienne was guided from within on the steps to create the sculpture.
There are over 10 materials present in the work, each material and method its own ingredient and energetic signature. An example: The child was first carved with power tools in wood. Lastly painted delicately in a 3-Dimensional painting process that Adrienne created in wax.
