Adrienne Tabet is the entity behind Talismans. They are a Figure Sculptor, Bodyworker, Death Doula, and Queer Lebanese mixed-race Being rooted mostly in the agua, flora, warmth, and moonlight of Miami, Florida.
As an artist they began speaking through figure sculpture early, creating conversations between figures in clay at age eight, a language all of their loved ones who exclusively spoke Spanish, English, or Arabic could interpret. When Adrienne’s first love, Robbie, was left on life support and they became the sole caretaker at age eighteen, Clairvoyant knowledge. The following woman who died in their hands, a black woman amidst a crowd of white people too separated to act. The Clairvoyant guidance of the trees and wind for them to be in each place. Swiftly climbing the ladder in horror films sfx due to grotesque nature of Adrienne’s skillset, they questioned the purpose and went towards bodywork, a calling. And the lifestyle and sculpture that Adrienne would return to would be for the purpose of healing, filling, welcoming, becoming, purging, playing, sharing, making accessible, tangible in people hands and homes instead of sanitary and foreign gallery white walls and tv screens...,
